Installing Chat API

Before you can access Orin, you must use the Orbit Updater to download the ChatAPI functionality.

To install ChatAPI:

1. Run the OrbitUpdaterConfigurator.exe as an administrator from C:\program files (x86)\apteco\faststats orbit updater\

2. Select the ChatAPI tab.

   

3. Set the Update option within the Chat API settings to Update if not installed or already installed and a newer version is available.

4. Copy the Base URL from the API tab and paste it into the Base URL field on the Chat API tab.

5. Change the Base URL in the ChatAPI tab setting (which you pasted) to refer to 'ChatAPI' instead of 'OrbitAPI'.

   

   Note: The above steps are for a single API system, for a multi API system, you need to:
   - Change the virtual path to {your_system_folder}/ChatApi
   - Change the Application pool name from AspNetCoreChat to AspNetCore{your_system_name}Chat with no spaces

6. Restart the FastStats Orbit Updater service.

You can monitor the updater progress in the Applications and Services Logs section of your Windows Event Viewer in the FastStatsOrbitUpdaterLog.
