Optimizely configuration

If you wish to automatically broadcast the list to a message either from the Email Broadcast wizard or PeopleStage, you need to create a message within Optimizely using a Smart Campaign.

Note: This section is not intended as a full manual on setting up your messages in Optimizely please refer to the Optimizely help or contact Optimizely for more information.

1. Login to your Optimizely account to access the web-based control panel.

   

   Note: This section uses a specific example to show the areas that need to be setup in Optimizely, your setup will likely be different, please contact Optimizely support or the Optimizely help for additional information.

The following items are required in Optimizely:

Recipients

For initial testing you should create a Recipient list which includes yourself, you can either create a recipient or Import a recipient to a list.

Smart Campaign

1. Create a Smart Campaign with the following minimum items.

   

2. Connect the steps.

3. Recipients – Select the list to use.

   

4. Wait Step – Set to Wait until import has been finished.

   

5. Message – Create an Email message and personalise.

   

Note: You can migrate a Classic Mailings to a Smart Campaign. The Smart Campaign needs to be Activated.

Tip: The Smart Campaign name is the Message name used in the PeopleStage Delivery.
