Setup and prerequisites

Preparing a Meta WhatsApp account

To use the Meta WhatsApp integration with Apteco software, you need to know:

  • Your WhatsApp Business Account name

  • Your Meta Business Account name

You also need access rights to manage phone numbers and message templates within Meta Business Settings.

In the WhatsApp Manager accounts, you must have setup:

  • Payment details

  • Phone number

Note: These must not currently be assigned to WhatsApp or WhatsApp for Business.

When adding a phone number, the display name must be acceptable to Meta’s Display Name Guidelines and have approval from Meta before being used in production.

Meta API app (formerly known as Facebook API app)

Apteco has a Meta API app that you can use to connect Apteco software to your WhatsApp account. You can also choose to setup your own Meta API app but need to get this app whitelisted with Meta and host their own Social Token API servers to use the Apteco WhatsApp integration.

This article provides detail on configuring the Meta (Facebook) parameters on your FastStats Service.
