# Rename dimension

To rename a Cube dimension:

- Open a Cube and drag a variable onto a dimension - e.g. **Income**
- Right click on that dimension and select **Rename Dimension...**
- Enter the new description in the box that appears and click OK

## Renaming dimension headers

For some dimension types, such as **queries, query sets and numeric bandings**, it is also possible to rename Dimension headers:

- Create a query, e.g. People who have made bookings to Germany
- Drag this query onto a Cube dimension
- Right click on that dimension and select the option **Edit Dimension Values...**

  \- Rename the heading descriptions as appropriate and click OK
