# Create a PWE model

Start by creating your profile - see [Create a profile](<https://help.apteco.com/en/faststats/modelling/profile/create-profile/index.md>) for information on how to do this.

When the profile is created:

1. Click the button on the Profile tool bar to Create Profile Model.

   This takes you straight to the second step of the [Profile Model Wizard](<https://help.apteco.com/en/faststats/wizards-and-virtual-variables/profile-model-wizard/index.md>).
2. Follow the wizard steps.

Once you complete the wizard, the virtual variable created is displayed by default in the **Others** folder of your System explorer window, unless you specify another folder as part of the wizard process.

## Using the model report

To measure how well the model is working use the [Model Report](<https://help.apteco.com/en/faststats/modelling/model-reports/index.md>) tool from the Toolbox.
