# Amend a URN file

Data Grids support the ability to add or remove records from a specified URN file using a check box column. The example below shows how an Exclusion file might be added to.

## Amending a URN file

1. Create a URN file and drag it onto a blank **Selection** page.
2. Right click on the referenced file name and select **NOT**. click the **Build** button to count all those not in the **Exclusion Group**.
3. Drag a **Data Grid** onto the **Selection** page and add some headings.
4. Click on the **Add URN Editor Column** button. Choose the Action - **Add selected to** and then highlight the whole row.
5. Click **Add** to include the column as a header. Click **Build**
6. Tick the check boxes against the records you wish to add to the **Exclusion Group** URN file. Click the **Build** button to update the display and *amend* the URN file itself.
