Cube: How do I create an RFV Cube?

Recency, Frequency and Value dimensions can be added to a cube or tree. For example:

• A Frequency dimension can be added by left-dragging a transaction table (e.g. Bookings) onto a cube dimension, selecting Add RFV Frquency dimension and then specifying the bandings you want.
  
  

• A Recency dimension can be added by right-dragging a date variable from a transaction table onto a cube dimension to find the last value for the given date in a given banding – for example, find the month or year of the most recent booking per person.

• A Value dimension can be added by right-dragging a numeric dimension from a transaction table onto a cube dimension and specifying the function and bandings you want (i.e. total booking value per person of 100-<500, 500-<1000, >=1000).

• An optional filter query (on the transaction table) can be specified to only process the specified transaction records so, for example, you can find the frequency of only package holidays, the most recent destination to Europe or the total booking value of holidays in the last 12 months.
