Territories Wizard: Territories

The first step of the wizard allows you to choose whether to display a variable on the map as territories or to take existing territories and create a variable from them.

To create a variable from existing territories on the map, you must have a geographic variable in your FastStats system that matches the type of territory that you have created in MapPoint.  For example, if the territories were created as groups of Postcode Districts, then you must have a Postcode District variable present in your system.

In this example:

• Select the Update a territory variable from the map radio button.

Click Next to go to Specify Map  (Apply your territory variable to the map)

Click Next to go to Select Geographic Match Variable  (Update a territory variable from the map)
