Check Templates

Check templates provide a visual representation of the Audience to ensure it includes the types of individuals that you are targeting and to confirm it matches the preference centre compliance and suppression requirements.

The following six data visualisations are available:

In order to use the area chart your FastStats design must include the codes to match your geographic design variable

The following Area Charts are supported:

  • UK Post Area - Text only postcode area e.g. (NE) - Newcastle, (B) - Birmingham

  • Dutch Provinces - Twelve named provinces e.g. North Brabant, Friesland

  • Dutch Municipalities - Named municipalities e.g. Bergen, Westerveld

  • German 2 Digit Postcode - Numeric only postcode area e.g. (10) - Berlin

  • Swiss 2 Digit Postcode - Numeric only postcode area e.g. (14) - Yverdon, Estavayer-le_Lac, (10) - Lausanne

When using an Area Chart you must select the correct variable defined in your FastStats

  1. Use the Size control to define the chart area for the desktop view

The view on a mobile is not affected by this control

A check template can either use existing FastStats Variables, or you can create specific variables to suit the check criteria

The example below shows a way to exclude all people from a household if one or more people within that household have requested that they are not contacted.

Before we can create the Check Template we need to create a Household level variable called Marketable Household in FastStats to use in Orbit

Example Audience Check Composition

  1. Using any existing Audience, in this example Includes: Gender is [Male and Female] AND Region is [South East (Outside M25) and South West

  1. Add the Marketable Household variable so the Excludes = : Contact Permission is [EPS] OR Marketable Household is [EPS and FPS]

  1. Click the Add new Check Composition icon
  2. Enter a Name for the New Check Composition e.g. Regional Distribution

The Save button will be enable once you have created a valid chart

  1. Click the Add chart button

  1. Enter a Title for the Chart Marketable Household
  2. Use the Order drop down to rearrange the charts if needed
  3. Select the Marketable Household FastStats variable
  4. Select the Column Chart type

  1. Open the Audience and Click the Check tab
  2. Select the new Check Template Regional Distribution from the drop down menu

You can now check if any individuals have been included in the Audience living in a (non) Marketable Household

This check panel will indicate whether the Audience is using Marketable Household correctly in the Excludes section

The above image shows there are no (non) Marketable Households in [EPS and FPS] in the Audience, and the correct regions are selected .
