Adding a cube visualisation to a dashboard

Two dimensional cubes can be added to a dashboard by choosing the Cube type from the tile editor panel.

Note: To see data in the cube, you need to add two dimensions and at least one measure.

Adding dimensions and measures

The following example table has two dimensions (Region and Gender) and two measures. The dimensions can be any variables except text and reference variables, and are set in the Data panel.

The measures are:

• A count of people

• A calculated measure of bookings per person

Note: This example displays sub totals. Cubes display sub totals by default, although this feature can also be turned off via Application Settings - Dashboard Settings.

These measures are also set in the Data panel. The first measure is used for sorting and category display. The measures look like this:

Editing the column headers

The column headers can be changed in the Axis Titles panel. The default headings are displayed, and they can be overwritten as required.

Sorting and categorising the display

The first measure on the table can be sorted, and used to calculate the number of categories to display if required. This example shows the top five regions, with the rows sorted in descending order. These settings are in the Data Options panel:

Note: When Category Display is used to quickly filter results, sub totals are re-calculated, where possible.

Exporting the table

The table can be exported to Excel or PDF. This function is located in the Advanced Options menu, under an ellipsis on the dashboard tile.
