Table options
To fully realise the end-to-end campaigning capability of your Apteco Orbit system, reaching the Campaign Ready status is crucial. With this status you can start building, analysing, and campaigning, all within your Orbit platform.
Achieving campaign ready status
Once you've designated a table as contact (and optionally as response), your system achieves Campaign Ready status. This status unlocks the full range of Orbit's campaigning capabilities. Campaign history, including communication and responses, automatically integrates into your system build, allowing for comprehensive analysis within Orbit.
Table properties in Orbit connect
In Orbit connect, table properties allow you to define three important attributes and assign them to tables in your system build.
You can designate tables as:
-
People: These are designated for licensing purposes ensuring accurate measurement against the license used.
-
Contact: Tables nominated as Contact are considered recipients for campaign activities, streamlining campaign management.
-
Response: Nominating a table as Response enables tracking and measurement of responses to campaign activities.
The ability to specify a contact or response table means that you can now use your system for campaigning activity.
Note: This feature is only available for Apteco Email users.
Applying table properties
To apply table properties within your Connect system:
-
Go to your system build table definitions.
-
Click the option menu, then click Edit.
-
On the table you wish to edit, click the option menu, then click Table Properties.
-
You can now select which table options to apply:
-
People Table: This option allows you to nominate a table to count against for licensing purposes. Select this option if your table contains data that affects licensing metrics.
-
Contact Table: Nominate a table to use in your campaigning configuration. This is crucial for organising and targeting your campaigns effectively.
-
Response Table: Choose a table to track responses or interactions.
Note: This can be any ancestor of a contact table. You can’t add more than one Response table.
Note: Only tables that have a unique Reference column present can be nominated as either Contact or Response tables.
Note: Tables nominated for campaign activity show the nomination type.
Note: If you encounter any pop-ups while specifying table options, follow the prompts to receive guidance. These pop-ups are designed to assist you in the process and provide helpful information.

-
Once you've selected the appropriate table options, click Apply to save your changes.
-
Confirm that your nominated tables are correctly designated within your system. Icons indicate the options for each table.
Tip: Icons indicate the roles assigned to each table.

Click Save System.
Once you’ve nominated a table as Contact (and optionally as Response), your system achieves Campaign Ready status. This nomination enables you to fully utilise Orbit campaigning capabilities. Campaign history, including communication and responses, is automatically integrated into your system build.
Note: You can only nominate one table as the People Table and Contact Table per system.
Note: Each system can only have one Response Table, and it should be a relevant ancestor of the customer table.
