Cascade: Overview
Cascade is a Campaign Planning and Management module that works with Apteco FastStats Enterprise Edition. Cascade allows users to create marketing campaigns made up of promotions, where each promotion can contain multiple de-duplicated target cells and each cell can be allocated multiple promotion packs.
Cells are specified in terms of selections created using the other FastStats tools, and promotions can be output as sets of reference numbers (and/or virtual variables) to allow further analysis within FastStats. Output of other fields can also be configured to pass directly to mailing houses and ESPs etc. for fulfilment.
Cascade configuration is stored in a SQL database (which can be, but is not restricted to be, the same as the SQL database used to hold FastStats Enterprise Edition configuration). Each user has access to view all items created by themselves and other users in the Cascade Explorer, but individual campaigns, promotions, cells and packs can be locked to stop other users editing them.
Cascade is accessed in FastStats through the Cascade Explorer, which shows all Campaigns, Promotions, Cells and Packs in their hierarchy. From the Cascade Explorer, existing Campaign Books and Promotion Books can be opened (as well as new ones created). For more details of the structure used within cascade, see the Campaign, Promotion, Cell and Pack Hierarchy section.
The Cascade user training manual provides further information on this module.
