Data Grid: Overview

What is a data grid?

A data grid is a two dimensional view of the records within a selection. Each row in the grid is a record within the selection.  The column headers show the field names for that column. The cells within the data grid are the values for that particular record.

When should I use a Data Grid?

For checking your data

Use a data grid to display and check the data relating to records captured by a selection.

Where numeric data forms part of your data grid, you can also visually explore the relationship between two numeric columns at a time using the Data Grid Scatter Chart.

For exporting your data

Once checked, use a data grid to output the list of records in a selection into a number of file formats.
