Manual campaign approval
Before proceeding with a campaign broadcast in Apteco Orbit, you can review pending communications and manually approve or reject the campaign.
Sending campaigns always involves targeted decisions. You want to get the who, what, and how of the broadcast correct during the initial set up. The manual approval process helps avoid the uncertainty of sending the wrong message to the wrong audience.
Manual approval allows you to:
-
Hold delivery of a campaign
-
Download a sample output file
-
Review the sample records and values
-
Approve or reject pending messages
While campaigning in Orbit, manual approval allows you to hold delivery of a campaign and reject the communication if needed. You can then discard unsuitable files without recording any false communication history. This provides you with greater confidence in the Orbit campaigning process by removing the risk of sending incorrect communications.
Enable manual approval
Once you have enabled campaign approval, the campaign pauses before Orbit uploads the list of recipients to the chosen channel.
To enable manual approval on a campaign:
-
Select a campaign and click Journey.
-
Click the ellipsis menu on the message step.
-
Check the Manual Approval Stop box.
The campaign delivery now holds before uploading the output until manual approval is complete.
Download a sample output file
You can download a sample output file to check who is being included before you commit to sending a campaign.
You can download sample output files from:
-
The journey builder
-
The campaigns overview screen
Review sample records and values
You can now review the sample output to assess the communication and decide if you wish to proceed with the campaign send.
Sample output files contain data such as:
-
The Individual ID
-
The output fields from the chosen channel
-
Any applied personalisation
You can download the sample records and import them into another system, such as an operational or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Reviewing records ensures that the data being output against the individual is correct.
Approve or reject pending messages
You can now choose to either approve or reject the pending message, completing the manual approval process.
Note: You must have a FastStats Service version of Q2 2023 or later to use manual campaign approval in Orbit.
