Data sources

On this page you can create new data imports and see the status of any previous or in-progress imports.

Adding a data source

To add a data source:

  1. Click + New Data Source.

    Note: Delimited text files (.csv, .txt) are the only sources allowed right now (we're expanding on this in future releases).

  1. Name the data source, then click Create.

  2. Select file or drag and drop. The file is uploaded and a progress bar displays.

  3. File settings are automatically detected, but you can manually override them. Choose Delimiter, Encloser, File type, and Header row as required. Any changes are reflected in the Data Preview.

  4. If you are happy with the presentation, click Import to add the data to the Apteco Customer Data Platform (CDP).

  5. The import begins and the logs update automatically.

    A message displays when the import is complete.

  6. You can either click Back on the Data Sources menu (to continue to add data sources e.g. for lookup files ) or click + New Table to proceed to Table Definitions.
