Troubleshooting

If you use a web-service-based FastStats system and drag your Map onto your Selection, the following error message may appear:

The problem is likely to be restrictions on the types of file that your web server can deliver. Select the Debug Log. Near the bottom of the log, you may find lines similar to the following:

Fixing MIME type errors

To fix this error, add .key, .shp, and .dbf files to your MIME types in IIS:

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. Select MIME Types.
  3. Select Add and enter .key with MIME type text/plain.
  4. Select OK.

  5. Select Add and enter .shp with MIME type application/octet-stream.

  6. Select OK and repeat for .dbf.

  7. Once you have added the file extensions, restart your website.

  8. Delete the Map in FastStats and retry dragging and dropping the Map onto your selection to resolve the error.
