Example Campaign Templates

PeopleStage includes example templates to help you get started or explore how you can extend your campaign.

The example templates can be found in the PeopleStage Library in the Campaigns section

Example Template 1 - Getting Started

Example Campaign 1 Getting Started

This template contains the basic building blocks of a campaign.

  • Audience Step: Start with an Audience step - Who do you want to Target? - Drag and drop your selections from the PeopleStage Library into the relevant Include and Exclude areas of the Audience.

  • Content Step: Personalisation and testing area - drag and drop variables from the Library to add to the Content step

  • Delivery Step: What channel(s) do you want to use to communicate with customers? These are set up by your administrator. Drag and drop a delivery channel from the PeopleStage Library.

  • About the Pool Step: A Pool holds the people flowing through the campaign in one place, so that extensions to the campaign can be made. A Pool also shows you the volume of people that have moved through the campaign. A Pool can be drained manually, or by using an Audience containing a Pool Journey. If there is no extension to this campaign, a Pool is not needed. Removing the Pool allows people to be released from the campaign and become immediately eligible for re-selection.

This template contains the basic building blocks of a campaign with a second stage where you can specify a different communication channel:

  • Audience Step: Start with an Audience step - Who do you want to Target? Drag and drop your selections from the PeopleStage Library into the relevant Include and Exclude areas of the Audience.

  • Content Step: Personalisation and testing area - drag and drop variables from the Library to add to the Content step

Follow Up elements: A Pool Journey staggers the start of the second stage. Once individuals have met the Pool Journey condition, they will move through the campaign.

Example Template 4 - Response Steps

Example Template 4 Response Steps

  • Audience Step: Start with an Audience step - Who do you want to Target? Drag and drop your selections from the PeopleStage Library into the relevant Include and Exclude areas of the Audience.

  • Content Step: Personalisation and testing area - drag and drop variables from the Library to add to the Content step

  • Delivery Step: What channel(s) do you want to use to communicate with customers? These are set up by your administrator. Drag and drop a delivery channel from the PeopleStage Library.

  • Transactional Response Step: Add a transactional definition of a Response e.g. a campaigned recipient making a booking or making an appointment. We need to define which numeric field to track in order to display ROI calculations in the Marketing Effectiveness Report and a date variable which enables PeopleStage to track any new transactions that have been added to your data. You can offset the tracking of these transactions to cater for the time lag between the file supply and the delivery to the customer.

  • Follow up: Interaction SelectionsAdding the Response Interaction to the second Audience, we split the Audience selections into Responders and Non-Responders. Responders will move into the Responders' Pool and after a week those who have not responded will receive a follow-up message.

Example Template 5 - Introducing Control - Defined Control per Delivery

Example Template 5 - Introducing Control

This template showcases a way to ensure that a representative Control is selected from every Delivery channel. The only way to ensure this is to split the Deliveries out into multiple Message steps.

Template 6 - Control - Random Sample Across Delivery Channels

Example Template 6 - Random Sample Across Delivery Channels

If a random Control group is required across multiple Delivery channels, then a Control Channel can be added to a single Delivery step containing multiple channels.

Selections and % selections cannot be mixed in a Delivery step.

Example Template 7- Broadcast Interactions

Example Template 7 Broadcast Interactions

Interaction Selections are found in the Audience folder in the PeopleStage Library. Interaction Selections can be used to move people through the diagram depending on how they have engaged with your channel. In this example it is the Email channel, but Broadcast interactions are available for other Social channels as well.

Example Template 8 - Journey Selections

Example Template 8 Journey Selections

Journey Selections enable you to keep the message consistent throughout a multi-stage campaign. Using Audience, Content and Delivery Journeys in the second stage of the campaign we ensure that the product, the image and the subject line/copy is consistently presented. This is recommended in situations when using selection criteria might result in a person receiving different messaging between the first and second communications going out. - e.g. additional transactions purchased more recently, transition to other marketing segment.
