Users and groups

This section provides detail on administering users, groups, and transferring ownership.

  • Users: A person that uses the Apteco Software. Administering a user takes place in Orbit. You can see accounts created in Orbit in FastStats too. The design aim is to administer a user in one place with as few mouse selections as possible.
  • Groups: A collection of users of Apteco software. Via Orbit, users can belong to more than one group. Groups can represent specific functions. A particular role may need a combination of groups to grant sufficient privileges.
  • Sharing resources: Sharing resources in Orbit lets system administrators grant users access to resources without changing ownership.
  • Transferring ownership: Lets administrators transfer Orbit user resources such as dashboards, audiences, collections, favourites, and workspaces to another user.
